I read first about Binayak Sen from CMC Vellore itself. I'd gone there with mom for her ailment.
The news about him was stuck on a noticeboard, that he'd been arrested and jailed wrongly victimized on charges of sedition.
I followed on the news, all through. Tehelka did a wonderful piece about him, and it further peaked my interest about him.
To see him walk out of jail, where he'd spent some 24 months, is real relief, that justice still exists. Hopefully, all the charges against him will be dropped and, people and government will realize the realities with the Salwa Judum, who Binayak (he's now the national Vice-President of PUCL) fights.
Good people do have their place on earth.
